Pre-save review
Mulebuy Spreadsheet Checklist Before Saving a Find
Give one point for each piece of useful evidence. The score does not prove quality; it exposes what the row still fails to answer.
Check category fit, useful photos, sizing, relative price, shipping weight, clarity and your reason to save. Six or seven points makes a stronger research candidate. It is never a guarantee.
The seven-point checklist
- The item belongs in the category I am browsing
- Photos show the details that matter for this product type
- Sizing, measurements, or fit notes are visible when needed
- Price makes sense beside similar finds
- Shipping weight does not ruin the value
- The row is not just hype or a vague label
- I can explain why I would save this find

Weak row
Remove for now
The score measures information quality, not seller trustworthiness or product quality. A high-scoring row can still change after you open the external listing.
QC photos by category
Shoes and sneakers
Look for both sides, heel alignment, toe shape, outsole, size label and an insole measurement where fit is uncertain.
Hoodies, shirts and jackets
Look for full front and back views, seams, cuffs, closures, fabric close-ups and actual garment measurements.
Bags and accessories
Look for scale, interior, corners, closures, straps, hardware and dimensions. For small items, confirm what the listing includes.
Watches and jewelry
Look for clear dial or surface photos, clasp and fastening details, dimensions and finish under neutral lighting.
Good row example
“Zip hoodie; chest and length chart visible; front, back and seam photos; price close to two comparable rows; estimated weight needs confirmation.”
This row earns attention because the known details are useful and the missing detail is explicit.
Weak row example
“Top quality hoodie—best price.”
The wording supplies excitement instead of evidence. There are no measurements, no category-specific photo notes and no reason to trust the comparison.
One-sentence save rule
Save a row only when you can name the evidence that makes it more useful than the alternatives.
What to do next
Use the category guide if your comparison criteria are unclear. Review shipping weight for bulky items, and read the safety notes before following unfamiliar external links.
